Change + Leaving My Corporate Job
Change.
I've learned a lot about change over the years. I've moved through all the phases of change which included sacrificing my own growth because of my resistance to change. Seven years ago I started practicing yoga and four years ago I completed a 200 hour teacher training program. That yoga practice introduced me to a new way of breathing, thinking, and moving through life. Slowly I began to "wake up" and wanted to know more. I wanted to know more about life and what it really means to walk around every day in this thing we call a human body. Mother Nature is a beautiful teacher. If you observe the changing seasons you see that every living thing changes. The leaves change color, shed, and then come back vibrant and green. Did you know that our cells transform and regenerate every minute? We are chemically different creatures today than we were yesterday. If our cells didn't transform and regenerate, we would die. Change has to exist to make way for newer and better things. Two years ago I started studying Ayurveda and by the end of this year I will have completed 800 additional hours of training within this ancient healing medicine. Ayurveda literally means the science of life. The approach is simple, start implementing habits today that will prevent disease later down the road. Ayurveda gets to the root of the root of the issue, versus treating the symptom. If we are happy and healthy then we can live vibrantly and passionately pursue life, otherwise - what's the point?
Here I am at a crossroads - choosing to change and do something different in my life, so I can clear a path for new things to grow. I am launching this business where I can help people navigate through the feelings of anxiety, depression, or finding the root cause of digestive or weight issues. Life is supposed to feel vibrant! And if it doesn't, then something needs to change. I want to teach people how to embrace life by choosing to live in a more conscious and healthy way.
One year ago I put pen paper and choose to create a future where I can live passionately and thrive with ease through life. I put a lot of thought into what I want my future to feel like and the results are the offerings represented on this page. Today is my last day in corporate America. Leaving my job wasn't a decision I made easily. It won’t be easy, but I’ve never shied away from hard work.
I encourage you to take a pause and reflect on what thoughtful changes may need to happen in your life. And then pick on thing to change. Just one. Incremental shifts will happen over time, you just have to be willing to put the work in. What are you willing to do?
Sending my love ~ L
